I approached Chris with the aim of gaining knowledge and an understanding of how to properly fuel my training in order to get the best out of myself. Working shifts of very early mornings and afternoons with training in the middle I was struggling with what I should be eating and when in order to maximise my training. Prior to working with Chris I was already on the meal prep bandwagon, eating consciously and counting my calories / macros. The problem was that I didn’t have the education to understand what calories I needed to fuel my workouts and what macros I should be hitting. This led to me feeling burnt out, achy and not hitting my full strength potential.

I approached Chris after a friend had suggested I look at his online guides. I have been working with Chris for the past 12 weeks and can’t believe how much I have progressed. My main focus for the 12 weeks was to lose some body fat but maintain my strength and muscle mass. I have dropped 5kg in bodyweight and during my last max out managed to maintain my 1RM for deadlift and hit a PB on both my back squat and bench press.

I can honestly say that the help, support and advice I received from Chris has changed my life. Before working with Chris I wasn’t fuelling my body with the energy and nutrients it needed for the workouts I was doing. As a result, I was always feeling weak, tired and grumpy, and I wasn’t recovering well after each training session. Through working with Chris, I’ve learnt what and when to eat to fuel my workouts correctly and to ensure my body can recover well afterwards. The meal plans and recipes Chris gave me were all delicious and I never once felt deprived of anything. I was left feeling full and extremely satisfied after each meal, rather than reaching for snacks every few hours which is what I had been doing previously. I also found that my sleep quality and energy levels improved dramatically. I train 5-6 times a week, a combination of marathon training and strength training to aid my running, and through following my schedule and Chris’ nutrition plan and advice, after a few weeks my performance started to improve. Running sessions felt easier and I was lifting more than I had done before. I’m currently training for the Boston marathon and still following the advice Chris gave me, this has so far been my most successful marathon training to date. The plans were also super flexible. So for example, if I had a meal out planned, Chris would help me factor in how to work my plan around that as well. I’ve learnt an incredible amount from Chris that I continue to put into practice today. His advice has changed my mind-set and as a result, I’ve been able to achieve and exceed both performance and aesthetic goals.

Working with Chris over the past 3 months has been fantastic. As a weightlifter I have cut weight several times and lost both strength and muscle mass in the process. Before starting with Chris this was a major concern for me. Chris taught me how to cut weight effectively and brought back enjoyment to my food. I can genuinely say that Chris’ help has been paramount to my performance and body composition improvement, as well as to enhancing my nutrition knowledge! ‘Before I started working with chris, I was all about the calories and not the good ones. I compete as a 105+ lifter so to me calories were calories …. at my heaviest I was an unhealthy 127 kilos …. I got in touch with Chis by a recommendation from a friend with a goal of increasing my bodyweight during pre season with a high emphasis on building muscle mass. Chris gave me a diet plan tailored to each day – This allowed me to know what and how much I should be eating to fuel myself alongside my training schedule. I was able to follow the diet plan very easily and gained the knowdlege of how to mix up different types of meals which stopped myself from getting bored of following a diet and eating the same foods. During the 10-week pre-season I managed to put on 6kg of lean muscle with my body fat dropping massively. I was recommended to see Chris by a sports doctor after my third stress fracture to make sure there were no issues with my diet. I train six days a week, however when I started university I noticed that I was starting to feel very fatigued and was finding myself constantly ill, which was having a huge impact on my training performance.

During the time I have been working with Chris I have managed to lose 10kg of body fat and dropped 2 weight categories whilst still getting personal bests in the gym. At first I found it very hard to believe that with the amount of food I was eating I would actually lose weight but I have been blown away by the results.
